Pottery Plate- Striped Thistle Motif-item sold

Pottery stoneware plate done in a striped thistle motif. This plate was done with the scraffitto technique using a blue slip and a white glaze. This technique involves painting on the blue slip (liquid colored clay), letting it dry, then scrapping away the background to leave the desired design. Then it is bisque fired and a glaze added and refired. This plate measures 7 1/4 in. diameter and is approximately 1 in. high. If item is sold out please email if you are interested in this product.
